SAINTS AND SINNERS TRAIL 18.7.07

85 runners representing a wide variety of clubs from all over Essex took part in last night's trail from the church gates at Thaxted. The 6.5 mile fast course was mostly fast and easily navigatable. The instruction were, of course, perfect with no complaints (almost!!!). Post race refreshments were provided in the Swan pub opposite. They weren't quite prepared for the enthusiastic beveraging that follows such an event..... Let's hope that they will be next year!

For those of you interested in such things, here is a google earth image of the route. Please note the time taken here included writing the route description and is not truly representative of the abilities of the organisers!!!!
Thank you Howard of Grange Farm and Dunmow Runners who very kindly went away with the results sheets and stayed up all night preparing the official results that follow.
Well done to the 2 Colchester speed men for winning and thanks for coming so far. Hard luck Gary for missing out by 2 seconds!!! A special well done to Tracey, the ffirst lady, coming back to form after the recent birth of her daughter.

HOWARD JARDINE CREATES A PERFECT THURSDAY LUNCHTIME RUN!

Starting and finishing from Howard's house in a sleepy leafy lane in the back end of Felsted, we ran this pleasant route today with the aid of maps provided by Howard. We don't usually use maps, but it was decided that we might want to break into faster and slower groups. We stayed together as intended. This was good news for our senior memer and mascot, Graham Baker, who seemed to be totally unable to read his map and seemed to be happy to read it in reverse!
Next one for all on 19th being arranged by Sarah. Watch out for more info. ALL WELCOME
